Healing Modalities
.
All healing is self-healing and each one of us has this innate ability. Our greatest tools are the intention of the mind, the intelligence of the heart and the wisdom of the body. I work with psychosensory modalities such as tapping (EFT), Matrix Reimprinting, Havening Techniques®, breathwork, heart breathing, Inner Smile, colour frequencies, the Infinity Wave and guided meditation.

Emotional Freedom Techniques
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a gentle finger tapping technique used on specific acupressure points, whilst focusing on a particular problem or emotion and where it is felt in the body.
EFT evolved from Thought Field Therapy (TFT), developed by clinical psychologist, Roger Callahan, who found that stimulating certain acupoints could lead to psychological relief for his clients and the elimination of phobias. Gary Craig, who studied under Callahan, created EFT as a simplified version of TFT. It is easy to apply and can treat a wide range of emotional problems. EFT has proved to be highly successful and is used worldwide.
How Tapping Works
It was initially thought that tapping worked by releasing energy blockages in the meridian system, but recent scientific research shows that tapping on acupoints sends electrical signals to the brain via the primo vascular system. This deactivates areas of the brain that have become charged through a momentary focus on the problem: in particular the amygdala, the part of the brain that responds to stress, and the hippocampus, where memory is stored. This erases the original trigger and opens the space for a more positive reframe.
The results of clinical EFT are comparable to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), but often swifter due to the physical stimulation of messages to the brain.

Matrix Reimprinting
Matrix Reimprinting was developed by EFT Master Karl Dawson. It works on the principle that the wounded parts of us are held in our energy field and can be communicated with, soothed and empowered by our adult selves through visualisation and a gentle tapping technique. This allows us not only to resolve the original trauma but to permanently change any negative core beliefs arising from the event. We learn that we were never wrong.
Havening Techniques®
Havening Techniques® is a gentle method of touch which sends delta waves to the emotional centre of the brain. It is used together with words and visualisation to create a deep sense of safety and connection. The techniques were developed by Dr Ronald Ruden together with his brother Dr Steve Ruden and are the result of extensive neuroscientific research into how the brain encodes trauma and how it can be reversed. Havening can result in the deactivation of receptors and neural pathways encoded during a traumatic experience. The memory remains but the emotional activation is no longer present.
Havening Touch can also be used to calm the nervous system, enhance affirmations, and change ways of thinking and perceiving. It can be used by a trained practitioner to heal past traumatic memory and stressful life events, and as a self-help tool for mental well-being and emotional balance.

Inner Smile
The Inner Smile is a powerful Taoist technique. By learning to smile inwardly and connect with your heart, you can balance your mind and heart, relax your autonomic nervous system and multiply feelings of love and joy. It can be used to bring balance to physical processes in the body and to your emotions. The smile can be used in meditation for any type of loving connection.
Infinity Wave
In 2010, the Infinity Wave came to Hope Fitzgerald in a series of visions. It is a visualisation of water flowing in a figure of 8 with a gap where it passes at the centre. This powerful image brings love, compassion, connection and flow into our lives and can be used in infinite ways.
Guided Meditation
I offer guided meditations to help you connect with the earth, the cosmos and your authentic self.
